Ugly Duckling is the latest project of Noa and Jan Van Ongevalle, combining unique drinks with flavourful dishes under the fun dining concept.
In 2023 Noa and Jan decided to bring The Pharmacy and Ugly Duckling together under one roof.
At the front of the restaurant you can now enjoy unique cocktails with delicious bar bites.
Chef Noa Van Ongevalle gives the dishes her own Asian touch, while her father Jan shows his passion in the dining room and at the bar.
Contemporary, cosmopolitan and even a little sensual. Behind the facade of an unassuming terraced house on Lippenslaan lies a concept with international allure, where a distinctive sharing experience awaits. At the front, The Pharmacy cocktail bar already sets a special mood, with an even more intimate “cosy & dark” ambiance in the restaurant at the back.
Voor unieke gelegenheden is er de kleine privé ruimte “The Testing room”, waar je misschien wel een speciale duckling kan ontmoeten. We delen een zeer kundig gegaarde saté van varkensvlees die sappig smaakt, licht gekorst is en mooi gelakt oogt met daarbij pinda mole die evenwichtig gekruid is. Ook de Koreaanse gebakken kip overtuigt door bakwijze en zacht pikant karakter. Een concept dat een hogere score en tweede koksmuts verdient.
